EM Museum

This unusual TEM was originally purchased in 1965 from Fisher Scientific by Dr. Hope Ritter, University of Buffalo. The TEM was moved to the Department of Zoology, UGA in 1966 when Dr. Ritter took a position here.

Interesting Features: Accelerating voltage – 30Kev; Column set at 30 degree angle; Fixed Mags at screen – 2K, 3K and 4K. Total mag 30K with a special accessory plate (mag lens for a 35mm camera; Microscope operated on 115 V a/c line; Rotary and oil diffusion pumps; resolution of 100 nm and cost $6,300
