The Philips EM-75 was manufactured in 1963 and purchased by the Department of Geology, UGA
Interesting features: Mag range is 1,200 to 12,000x accomplished by moving the projector lens (a central ring) up and down the beam axis; A fixed 75 Kev accelerating voltage; An accessory was a low-voltage anode, so that it could be operated at 15 Kev; a single condensor lens; a glass diffusion pump; resolution of 150nm; This was the first solid-state instrument sold.
