The TFS Vitrobot Mark IV is a popular vitrification device used in conjunction with liquid ethane to prepare purified samples for cryo-TEM.  With a Linux-based operating system, users can define parameters such as blot time, humidity, and temperature to have full control over plunge-freezing. Samples are deposited on Quantifoil grids and stored in liquid nitrogen until ready to image.
